At least 15 people were killed on Saturday in a missile strike on the Iranian city of Isfahan, local media reported. The missile hit a factory in the central city while workers were on shift, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.
The facility reportedly produced heaters and refrigerators.
Israel offered no immediate comment, but Iranian officials blamed the “American-Zionist enemy,” saying the attack was carried out with a missile. The strike on the Isfahan factory came a day after US forces targeted Kharg Island, prompting Tehran to vow retaliation.
Since Israel and the United States began air raids on Iran on 28 February, more than 2,000 people mostly Iranians have been killed, according to government figures.
Meanwhile, Iran has urged civilians in the United Arab Emirates to evacuate ports, docks, and what it called “American hideouts,” claiming US forces had launched attacks from those areas.
President Trump said the American and Israeli strikes had devastated Iran and urged nations to safeguard the Strait of Hormuz.
In a social media post, he called on China, France, Japan, South Korea, Britain, and others to dispatch warships to the strategic waterway.
