State-owned Rupali Bank PLC has asked its branches in the Cumilla division to accelerate classified-loan recovery and step up implementation of its “Loan Disbursement Year 2026” programme as the lender pushes to meet annual business targets.

The bank reviewed the business performance of branches under its Cumilla divisional office as of 31 August 2026 at a meeting held at Hotel Elite Palace in Cumilla on Saturday, Rupali Bank said in a press release.

Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam attended the meeting as chief guest and stressed the need to successfully implement the “Loan Disbursement Year 2026” programme.

He also called for greater momentum in efforts to recover classified loans.

Md Moin Uddin Masud, general manager at the bank’s head office, attended as special guest.

Mohammad Ameer Hossain, divisional head and general manager of the Cumilla division, chaired the meeting.

Participants discussed the Cumilla division’s overall business performance, progress towards achieving the business targets set for 2026 and developments in lending activities.

Zonal managers, assistant general managers and executives and branch heads from branches under the Cumilla division attended the meeting.
