Police on Tuesday arrested Masukur Rahman, the chief advisor and director of the controversial e-commerce platform E-Orange, from the capital’s Dholaikhal area.
A team from the Gulshan Police Station apprehended him based on active arrest warrants. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner (AC) of the DMP Gulshan Zone and was led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahfuzur Rahman.
According to police sources, Masukur Rahman faces arrest warrants in at least 20 cases filed in various police stations across the country.
The e-commerce platform E-Orange has been at the center of significant discussion and legal scrutiny following allegations of embezzling customers’ money.
