BNP expels 18 more leaders for anti-party activities

BNP has expelled 18 more leaders from different tiers of the organisation for anti-organisational activities and for violating party decisions.

The decision was announced in separate press releases issued on Sunday and signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

The notices said the leaders have been stripped of their primary membership and removed from all party posts.

Those expelled from Fatullah Thana BNP in Narayanganj are Vice Presidents Sultan Mahmud Molla, Billal Hossain and Md Alam, Organising Secretary Hasan Ali, Assistant Organising Secretaries Saiful Islam Biplob and Md Muslim Ahmed, and Joint Secretary Akter Khandaker.

Thana BNP members Zahid Hasan Rozel and Nazrul Islam Panna Molla, along with Kutubpur Union Ward 6 BNP Vice President A Razzaque Raja, were also expelled.

The party also expelled Homna Upazila BNP former Convener Zahirul Islam Zahur from Cumilla North and Bhangura Upazila BNP Joint Convener Md Anisur Rahman Liton from Pabna.

In Brahmanbaria, six leaders from Sarail Upazila BNP were expelled, including former Upazila Vice President Afzal Hossain and former Upazila member Osman Khan.

The others are former Aruail Union BNP member Advocate Monowar Hossain Russell, Sadar Union BNP members Zakir Hossain and Muluk Hossain, and former Kalikachha Union BNP General Secretary Mamun ur Rashid.
