The first song from the upcoming web film Mission DDLJ has brought a touch of 1990s romance to the screen. Titled ‘Kahini Ekhono Baki’, the romantic track features the sweet chemistry of Naovi and Labannya, drawing attention from viewers since its release.
The song takes listeners back to the familiar romantic mood of the 1990s. It also carries a light musical touch of Bollywood’s popular song ‘Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam’, adding a nostalgic flavour to the track.
That blend of classic romance and a contemporary musical mood gives ‘Kahini Ekhono Baki’ a distinct feel. Syed Nafis wrote the lyrics and composed the music, while he and Moumita Barua lent their voices to the duet. Arman Bin Mahmud also appears in the music video, adding to its narrative atmosphere.
Asif Jahangir Orko directed Mission DDLJ. The music video also reflects his attention to visual presentation. Scenic locations, soft colour tones and a natural treatment strengthen the romantic mood. As a result, the song is attracting attention not only for its music but also for its visual presentation.
The title Mission DDLJ itself contains a ‘hidden story’. The filmmaker has chosen not to reveal what lies behind it yet. Viewers will have to watch the web film to discover the full story.
Asif Jahangir Orko said, “It is essentially a romantic comedy. In this nearly 80-minute web film, I have tried to present the romantic mood of the 1990s in a new way for today’s audience. As a new pairing, Naovi and Labannya have performed wonderfully. I believe audiences will enjoy their chemistry. At the same time, the story will also offer them a different kind of entertainment.”
Executive producer Ashek Hossain Tanmoy said Mission DDLJ will premiere on iScreen on 25 September.
