Fourteen Bangladeshi apparel, textile and leather companies are participating in one of Europe’s largest sourcing exhibitions, Ready to Show, in Milan, Italy, as the country seeks to diversify export markets and attract more international buyers.
The three-day business-to-business sourcing fair began on Saturday and will continue until Monday, bringing together global apparel manufacturers, textile suppliers, fabric producers, leather product makers, brands, retailers, designers and sourcing professionals.
The participation of Bangladeshi companies is being supported financially by the Export Promotion Bureau and organised by the Bangladesh Embassy in Rome and the Bangladesh Consulate General in Milan, the Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday.
The fair provides a platform for Bangladeshi exporters to promote value-added apparel, textile products and leather goods while strengthening commercial ties with Italy and other European markets.
Ready to Show Milan is recognised as a major international sourcing platform for the garment, textile and fashion industries, connecting global suppliers with buyers, brands, designers, retailers and other industry professionals.
Bangladesh’s participation reflects continued efforts to diversify export destinations, expand market access and increase the share of higher-value products in the country’s export basket.
The exhibition comes as exporters seek stronger engagement with European buyers and explore new opportunities beyond traditional markets. The event allows Bangladeshi companies to showcase their manufacturing capabilities, build business networks and attract potential buyers from across Europe.
The companies participating in the fair are Rhino Apparels, Focus Apparels BD, Mascom Composite, Nice Composite Textile, Eco Healing Accessories, Ahava Composite, Spartan Fashion, Oili Fashion, Howlader Trading, Day Fashion, Knitexpo International, Asia Pacific Zone, Ctg Four Brothers Apparels and Seam Fabrics.
The government and industry stakeholders expect participation in international sourcing events such as Ready to Show to help exporters strengthen global connections, promote diversified products and enhance Bangladesh’s position as a competitive supplier of apparel, textiles and leather goods.
