Hanuman Ansh has turned into a surprise box-office success, and speculation is already building around its sequel. Among the biggest talking points is whether Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, both followers of Neem Karoli Baba, will appear in the next instalment.
According to NDTV, producer Namrata Singh has reached out to some of the prominent devotees associated with the spiritual figure. “I have reached out to some of them and they were aware of the film earlier,” she told Bollywood Hungama. However, the makers have not confirmed any celebrity cameo for the sequel.
Singh said both she and director Vishal Chaturvedi share a deep personal connection with Neem Karoli Baba. She has followed him for 14 years, while Chaturvedi has had a connection with him for 20 years.
“We want to make films on our saints and take them to the world,” Singh said, stressing that the thousands of Indian devotees whose lives Baba touched would remain the priority.
The second film will focus on Kainchi and the Indian devotees connected to Baba. The third instalment will take the story beyond India and explore his spiritual influence on people abroad.
Singh said the third film will examine how Baba’s spiritual energy reached personalities such as Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and Julia Roberts. That chapter, however, will come later.
Directed by Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh has found a strong audience through word of mouth. NDTV reported that the film had earned Rs 163.13 crore in India’s net collections by Day 35.
The sequel is already in development. Chaturvedi has said the story will explore places associated with Neem Karoli Baba, including Firozabad, Agra and Mathura.
The makers conceived Hanuman Ansh as the first chapter of a trilogy. The project was announced as a three-part story on 20 February 2026 and draws inspiration from Chaturvedi’s book Divine Detour.
