Actor Jaher Alvi has opened up about the emotional struggles he continues to face after losing his wife, Ikra.

Alvi said recalling the happy moments he shared with Ikra still hurts. However, he does not want to carry that pain as a burden forever. Instead, he wants to feel that she remains by his side as the mother of their child and continues to bless them wherever she may be.

The actor said he has no intention of deliberately erasing memories of his wife. In his view, even the smallest moments they shared in the past remain precious reminders of their relationship.

Since losing his wife, Alvi’s child has become the centre of his world. He said his main priority is to protect his son from negativity and toxic people while doing everything he can to help him grow up despite his mother’s absence.

Even amid his busy shooting schedule, Alvi remains concerned about his son and looks forward to returning to him. He admitted that staying away from his child for too long has become difficult for him.

Speaking about his son’s emotional well-being, Alvi said they are following the advice of child specialists and psychiatrists. Rather than forcing the child to confront the reality of his loss abruptly, they are giving him time to process his grief naturally. The actor added that his son has not yet spoken openly about the matter.

At this difficult stage of his life, holding his son close has become his greatest source of comfort. Recalling one such moment, Alvi said he had once experienced intense breathlessness and restlessness. But as soon as he held his child, he felt that he was alive and had to keep living.

He said he no longer wants to make far-reaching plans for the future. For now, his focus is on moving forward with his son and rebuilding his career.

After a difficult period involving personal struggles, imprisonment and legal proceedings, Alvi returned to shooting for television dramas in mid-October following a hiatus of nearly seven months. He also appealed to fans for their love and support on social media.
