Banglalink has launched an innovative international roaming pack, allowing Bangladeshi travelers to use their mobile balance in Taka for roaming services, eliminating the need for foreign payment methods such as international credit or debit cards.

This move simplifies international mobile communication, making it easier for customers to stay connected while abroad.

The new roaming packs, which cover over 50 countries, offer flexible options tailored to various travel needs. Customers can now activate roaming services directly from their mobile balance in Taka, a significant improvement over the previous system that required payments in US dollars. This update enables hassle-free management of roaming services for travelers.

The service was officially launched at Banglalink’s headquarters, Tiger’s Den, in Dhaka, with CEO Johan Buse, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer Taimur Rahman, and Marketing Director Mehedi Al Amin in attendance.

Customers can now easily purchase and activate roaming packs through the MyBL app, while services can also be activated via Banglalink’s WhatsApp helpline or email.

“We understand the importance of staying connected while traveling, and not everyone has access to international payment methods. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to make our services accessible and user-friendly,” said Mehedi Al Amin, Marketing Operations Director at Banglalink.

The new service benefits a wide range of travelers, including business professionals, students abroad, and pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah. With this initiative, Banglalink is ensuring that distance doesn’t hinder connections, continuing its commitment to innovate and improve customer experience.
