In the clip posted on Instagram, the singer appears seated by a fireplace dressed head to toe as the Grinch, complete with vivid green make-up. Opening with a talk-sung line from her signature ballad ‘All by Myself’, Dion then delivers a tongue-in-cheek rewrite of the Grinch’s famous monologue from the 2000 film ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’.
Cradling a small dog styled after the Grinch’s companion Max, she rattles off a mock schedule packed with exaggerated commitments, from “exercising her voice” to “solving world hunger”, poking fun at celebrity busyness and creative life. The skit ends with Dion abandoning the routine in favour of wishing fans a merry Christmas and a happy new year, before slipping back into a few more lines of All by Myself.
The song, originally released by Eric Carmen in 1975, later became one of Dion’s most enduring hits following her 1996 cover on the album Falling into You. Decades on, it remains closely associated with her powerhouse vocals.
