In a warm, music-filled evening, Copyshop hosted the certification ceremony for the first batch of Dhaka Advertising School (DAdS) at Ajo Idea Space in Gulshan on November 14, 2025. The event marked a milestone for Bangladesh’s first dedicated advertising skill-development institute.
The founding batch of students received their certificates from chief guest Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, founder and chairman of Adcomm. DAdS recently completed its inaugural course designed for existing advertising professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the craft, combining practical insight with industry-tested frameworks.
The ceremony was attended by the institute’s esteemed mentors, including Awrup Sanyal, Agency Head of Mighty, Tanvir Chowdhury, ECD, Asiatic, Hasib Hasan Chowdhury, ECD, Adcomm, Syful Akbar Khan, SCD, AML, and Mushfiqur Rahman, CD, Expressions, Copyshop and Founder of DAdS.
Advertising icon Geeteara shared her thoughts, “I appreciate the commitment to fostering effective and creative competencies through hands-on training organised by Dhaka Advertising School. This guru-disciple learning system will surely have significant impacts in nurturing the next generation of advertising practitioners through culture, commerce and creativity.”
Mentors echoed this sentiment. “It’s not like our 8 classes are going to make you perfect to fight for the brands, said Tanvir Chowdhury. “It will help you. But the thing is, advertising and copywriting are all about practice. And practice will make you a better version of you.”
Another mentor, Syful Akber Khan, added, “If we could make a slight about the differences in our students, then we can say that DAdS is successful.”
With programs designed by industry experts, DAdS is positioning itself as a hands-on, practice-driven learning hub. Its students are already gaining real-world exposure that strengthens their theoretical foundations to shape the advertising landscape both locally and globally.
