Social media personality and actor Uorfi Javed has strongly denied allegations that she was paid ₹1 lakh to support the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), hitting back at fellow social media personality Faizan Ansari for making what she described as “baseless” claims, reports OpIndia.

The controversy erupted after Ansari alleged that CJP was running a paid promotional campaign involving celebrities.

According to him, Uorfi was allegedly paid ₹1 lakh to endorse the party, while actor-model Poonam Pandey was allegedly offered ₹20,000.

Responding in a video shared on Instagram, Uorfi dismissed the accusations outright and accused Ansari of repeatedly spreading false information about her.

“The man who is making this claim, Faizan Ansari, is such a big idiot. This is the same person who had said that Uorfi is transgender. He has spread so many fake things against me by calling the media. He is a very media-hungry, stupid person,” she said.

Mocking the alleged payment amount, Uorfi questioned the credibility of the claim.

“And ₹1 lakh? You idiot, go and find out how much I charge for one reel. Would I post a reel for one lakh? And for no reason? Oh my God! There are such stupid people,” she added.

The actor also criticised Hindustan Times for publishing a report based on Ansari’s allegations, questioning why such claims were being reported despite, according to her, his lack of credibility.

“I am very upset with Hindustan Times. Why are you printing such weird articles based on a guy who has no credibility? Why are you doing it?” she said.

Earlier, Ansari had claimed that CJP was paying public figures to promote the political outfit.

“This is a paid campaign where he is paying celebrities. He called Uorfi Javed by paying her ₹1 lakh, he called Poonam Pandey by paying her ₹20,000. All these updates are coming to me from Bombay,” Ansari alleged.

He also claimed that he had been attacked twice while opposing the party’s activities during events in Pune and Aurangabad.

Additionally, he accused CJP of supporting Umar Khalid and vowed to continue opposing the party.

“India can never be broken into pieces. Abhijeet Dipke, you will be broken into pieces; your CJP party will be broken into pieces. Faizan Ansari will fight this battle till his last breath,” he said.

As of now, Ansari has not publicly presented any evidence to support his allegations that Uorfi Javed or Poonam Pandey were paid to endorse CJP.

Uorfi has categorically denied the claims, describing them as false and ridiculing the suggestion that she would promote any political party for the amount alleged.

Neither CJP nor Poonam Pandey has publicly responded to the accusations.
