At this stage of her acting career, Deepa Khandaker has carved out a distinct place in the hearts of audiences as a skilled performer. She continues to receive offers for new projects, but the actress takes on a role only when she likes the story and character.
From the beginning of her career, Deepa has given priority to stories and characters. Continuing that approach, she has now acted in the drama Karmofol, written and directed by Mohin Khan. The production will see her in a challenging role that moves away from the conventional mould. AKM Hasan is her co-star.
Speaking about the drama, Deepa Khandaker said, “Mohin writes his stories with great care and also tries to bring them to life with the same attention. That is why I enjoy working under his direction. The story of Karmofol is rooted in real life. I worked quite hard to bring my character to life. I hope audiences will enjoy the drama when it airs.”
Deepa recently returned to the spotlight with her role as an aunt in Muhammad Mostofa Kamal Raj’s serial Eta Amaderi Golpo. She is also set to begin work on another serial by the same director.
A press conference featuring the cast of the new serial is scheduled to take place on Sunday at a shooting house in Uttara, Dhaka.
