Severe low gas pressure is prevailing in Dhaka city due to damage to a gas distribution pipeline and low overall supply.
Titas Gas authorities provided this information in a notice issued on Friday.
According to the notice, although the damaged gas distribution pipeline under the Turag River at Aminbazar – hit by the anchor of a cargo trawler – has been repaired, water entered the pipeline during the repair work.
As a result, severe low gas pressure is being experienced across Dhaka metropolis. Efforts are ongoing to resolve the low-pressure issue.
Titas Gas authorities have expressed sincere apologies for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers.
