Former WWE wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as The Great Khali, has assured fans that he is safe after his SUV collided with another car at a toll plaza in Panipat, Haryana.
According to Hindustan Times, the accident occurred on Saturday, and a video of the incident later spread across social media.
Khali addressed concerns about his condition in a video posted on Instagram, describing the crash as a minor accident.
“Yesterday, my car met with an accident, and since then I have been receiving a lot of calls and messages asking about my well-being, but everything is okay,” he said.
He thanked his fans and said he had not initially spoken about the incident because he did not want to make it a major issue.
“It was a minor accident and that is why I did not want to tell anyone about it because I didn’t want to make it a big deal,” he said, adding that he decided to clarify after the video went viral.
Footage from the scene showed damage to the front of a white car. Khali later walked to another vehicle and left the area, indicating that he escaped the accident unhurt.
Dalip Singh began his professional wrestling career in 2000 before competing for several international promotions.
He joined WWE in 2006 and took part in high-profile rivalries with stars including The Undertaker, John Cena, Batista and Triple H.
Khali also built a career in films. He made his film debut in The Longest Yard in 2005 and later appeared in Get Smart, MacGruber and several Indian productions.
In 2023, he appeared in the Bangladeshi thriller MR-9: Do or Die.
