Popular television actor Tania Brishty is now in recovery following a second surgical procedure in Chennai, undertaken as part of ongoing treatment for a brain tumour.
The development was confirmed by filmmaker Raihan Khan, with whom Brishty previously worked on the project ‘Tribunal’. According to him, the procedure was successfully completed, and while her condition is currently stable, she remains under strict medical observation.
Brishty had initially undergone surgery in Dhaka on February 14 at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital. Subsequent complications led to her being moved to Chennai for more advanced care.
Her latest operation took place at MGM Hospital on March 9. Following the procedure, she spent several days in intensive care on life support before gradually stabilising. She was shifted to a general cabin on March 21 and discharged the following day, after nearly two weeks under hospital care.
Doctors have advised her to maintain a low-stress routine and prioritise rest during recovery. She is expected to return to Chennai on April 10 for a scheduled follow-up evaluation.
The actor spent this year’s Eid period in the hospital as she continues her path to recovery.
