Actress and model Tania Brishty is scheduled to undergo surgery after doctors detected a brain tumour, prompting an outpouring of concern from colleagues and fans across the entertainment industry.
The news surfaced shortly after the actress shared a Valentine’s Day post from a hospital bed on February 14. In the image, her face was partially hidden behind a bouquet of flowers sent by her family. In her caption, she asked for prayers and revealed that she would be undergoing brain surgery the following day.

The General Secretary of Actors Equity, Rashed Mamun Apu, later confirmed that a tumour had been diagnosed and that the operation was scheduled at a private hospital in the capital.
A statement issued on her behalf from the hospital has requested privacy during her recovery. It asked colleagues and industry professionals not to contact her regarding shooting schedules or work commitments, noting that she requires complete rest and medical care. The statement added that she will personally reconnect with everyone once she has recovered.
Tania Brishty has been one of the industry’s most active performers in recent years, balancing television projects and other appearances. News of her diagnosis has prompted messages of support on social media, with fans expressing hope for her swift recovery.
Further updates on her condition are expected following the procedure.
