Following their wedding on February 26, South Indian stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are set to host a grand post-wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4. However, the event has now been restricted to invited guests only, following guidance from the Hyderabad Police.
Authorities reportedly raised concerns that the couple’s immense popularity could draw massive crowds, potentially causing traffic congestion and security risks. To ensure the safety of the newlyweds and attendees, only those holding official invitation cards will be allowed entry.
The couple’s team confirmed the change in a social media statement, noting that the reception had initially been planned for industry figures from Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema, as well as prominent political and administrative personalities. “In light of nationwide excitement and in consultation with local authorities, the guest list has been further limited,” the statement read.
Fans quickly shared the invitations online, sparking disappointment among those hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds. Despite this, most supporters expressed understanding, praising the decision as a necessary measure for safety and smooth event management.
