Eid release ‘Rakkhosh’ is set for its North American theatrical debut on Friday, April 17, as the romantic thriller continues to draw attention from audiences and critics following its domestic release.
Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, the film has been distributed internationally by Galaxy Media and will be screened across nine cities in the US and Canada.
To mark the release, a press conference was held at a community venue in New York, attended by expatriate journalists and cultural representatives.
Galaxy Media CEO Badruddoja Sagar said the company aims to bring strong Bengali storytelling to international audiences, adding that Rakkhosh promises both entertainment and an emotionally engaging experience in cinemas.
Starring Siam Ahmed in the lead role, the film presents the actor in a new avatar, which has already generated significant curiosity through its promotional campaign. Produced by Azim Harun and Shahreen Akter Sumi under Real Energy Productions, the film explores themes of revenge and the darker side of human nature.
According to the makers, Rakkhosh combines intense drama with stylised visuals to offer a distinctive cinematic experience.
The film will be released across several AMC theatres in the US, including venues in New Jersey, Florida, Colorado, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina and Oklahoma, with additional screenings in select locations scheduled in the coming days.
