Following a strong Eid-ul-Fitr run in Bangladesh, the romantic thriller ‘Rakkhosh’ has begun its international journey with a screening in Italy.
The film opened at Cinema Broadway in Rome on April 6, marking its entry into the European market.

According to the production house Real Energy Production, the response from audiences on the opening day in Rome has been encouraging, signalling growing interest beyond domestic viewers.

Directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, the film features Siam Ahmed in the lead role opposite Tollywood actor Susmita Chatterjee. Produced by Azim Harun and Shahreen Akter Sumi, Rakkhosh blends romance with suspense, aiming to appeal to a wide range of audiences.

The film continues to perform steadily in its third week in Bangladesh. Despite limited showtimes in multiplexes during its initial run, audience demand has remained strong, with screenings reportedly drawing large crowds.

The director expressed optimism that the film will also gain traction in single-screen cinemas, where its narrative style is expected to resonate.
Shot across Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mumbai, India, Rakkhosh marks Hridoy’s second feature after Borbaad.
