Renowned Indian actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee has died in a tragic accident while filming in Talsari, Odisha.

Rahul, who had travelled to Talsari to shoot for the television serial ‘Bhole Baba Par Karega’, reportedly drowned during the shoot on Sunday. Technicians on set attempted a rescue and took him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Atish Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police for Purba Medinipur district, confirmed the incident to Indian news outlet Ei Samay, stating that preliminary reports indicate death by drowning. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the accident.

Rahul Arunoday, widely recognised for his work in Bengali television and films, had a dedicated fan base, and news of his untimely death has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues and admirers alike.
