Bangladeshi actor Afran Nisho’s latest film, ‘Domm’, directed by Redoan Rony, is preparing for its US release following a successful run in Australia. The film, which premiered domestically during Eid-ul-Fitr, has maintained strong audience interest both locally and internationally.
Domm is scheduled to open in New York and Los Angeles on April 10, followed by a wider rollout across the United States and Canada from April 17. The announcement came from producer Shahriar Shakil and Raj Hamid of international distributor Bioscope Films.
Since its domestic debut, the film has seen consistently high attendance, with several screenings reportedly selling out. The popularity at home has provided momentum for its overseas expansion, highlighting the growing international demand for Bangladeshi cinema.
Director Redoan Rony expressed confidence that the film’s themes, rooted in a real-life story of resilience, would resonate with audiences abroad. He emphasised that Domm celebrates national triumph while remaining relatable to expatriate viewers. Plans are already underway to extend the release to additional international markets.
The film reunites Afran Nisho with co-stars Chanchal Chowdhury and Puja Cherry, whose on-screen chemistry has attracted attention and anticipation among audiences.
Produced by SVF Alpha-i Entertainment Limited and Chorki, Domm features a screenplay crafted by Redoan Rony alongside Rabiul Alam Robi, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al Amin Hasan Nirjhar and Md Saifullah Riyad.
