Pubali Bank PLC has organised a cashless transaction awareness programme at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to promote digital payments through Bangla QR codes, aiming to reduce cash transactions for hospital services.
The programme, titled “Cashless Dhaka Medical College Hospital,” was held on Monday with the slogan “Digital Bangladesh, Cashless Transactions,” said a press release.
DMCH Director Brigadier General Asaduzzaman attended as chief guest, while Bangladesh Bank Payment Systems Department Additional Director Sadia Khan was present as guest of honour. Pubali Bank Deputy Managing Director Shahnewaz Khan, ADC Division Head Rabiul Alam and Card Business Head NM Firoz Kamal attended as special guests. Dhaka South Regional Head Rafiqul Islam presided.
Asaduzzaman said the cashless system would create opportunities for fast, secure digital payments, reducing suffering for patients and their relatives.
Shahnewaz Khan said the initiative would make payments easier, faster and safer for patients at DMCH, while advancing the digital economy.
