Pubali Bank PLC has rolled out “Cashless Banking Campaign” booths at Shimanto Shambhar and Shimanto Square in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, aiming to broaden adoption of digital payments and modernise banking services.

The bank said the initiative will provide customers with direct guidance on digital payments, card use and Bangla QR services, helping to reduce reliance on cash and expand secure, transparent digital banking.

Pubali Bank PLC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Ali inaugurated the campaign. Md Shahnewaz Khan attended as special guest. The event was chaired by Dhaka North Region Head and General Manager AKM Abdur Rakib.

Also present were General Manager and CFO Mohammad Liton Mia FCA, Deputy General Manager and Head of Alternative Delivery Channel Division Md Robiul Alam, Dhanmondi Branch Manager and Deputy General Manager Nigar Sultana, Sonargaon Janapath Branch Manager and Deputy General Manager Md Hafizur Rahman Sardar, Assistant General Manager Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, senior bank executives, local business leaders, customers and well-wishers.

Speaking at the event, Mohammad Ali described the campaign as a key step in the bank’s digital transformation efforts. He said Pubali Bank PLC is committed to technology-driven modern banking and that building an effective cashless economy requires collaboration among banks, businesses and customers. He added the campaign is intended to promote digital financial awareness as well as offer service access.

At the booths, customers are receiving hands-on guidance on the bank’s debit and credit cards, point-of-sale machines, mobile app-based transactions and instant payments using Bangla QR codes.
