Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) Teachers’ Association has formally congratulated Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the newly appointed cabinet following the 13th National Parliamentary Election in 2026.
At its first Executive Committee meeting on 18 February, the association said it believes the democratic mandate will strengthen institutions, accountability and governance across Bangladesh.
In a message adopted at the meeting, GAU Teachers’ Association said it expects Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s leadership to uphold democratic values and voting rights, restore public confidence and reinforce transparency in governance.
The association expressed confidence that the new government will honour the people’s trust and translate the electoral mandate into national progress.
The teachers’ body also highlighted the importance of education and research, calling for sustained investment in higher education, protection of university autonomy, and the promotion of academic freedom.
The association said fostering innovation, research excellence and skills-based education would empower the next generation and accelerate the country’s development.
The Teachers’ Association reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with the government to advance education, research and inclusive national growth.
It also wished Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the cabinet success in steering the nation towards stability, prosperity and a strengthened democratic future.
