Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed on Wednesday said that election symbols on postal ballots have been arranged in line with the sequence published in the official gazette.
He made the statement while responding to questions from reporters at the Election Commission building in Agargaon.
Addressing the allegation, the EC secretary said the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission and any decision would be taken by the commission itself.
Asked whether the postal ballot would be revised, Akhtar Ahmed said it was not his decision to make.
Responding to a query on the process of symbol placement, he said that, to his knowledge, the symbols were arranged strictly according to the order specified in the gazette.
