Alia Bhatt’s first-look poster from ‘Love & War’ has sparked mixed reactions online. Unveiled earlier today, the poster presents the actress in a retro-glam look, wearing a red sequin co-ord set with a dramatic feather accessory in her hair, writes NDTV.
Soon after its release, several social media users compared Alia’s look with Kiara Advani’s appearance in ‘Toxic’. Others felt the poster carried shades of ‘Bombay Velvet’.
“Lo bhai ab Toxic 2 bhi aa gayi,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “This poster is giving me vibes of Kiara’s poster from Toxic, am I right?”
“Mujhe kyun Bombay Velvet ki feeling aa rahi hai….” another user wrote, while someone else added, “Toxic wali feeling aa rahi hai.”
Other reactions included, “Toxic jaisa lag raha hai” and “Why the hell am I getting Bombay Velvet vibes… Please Mr Bhansali, don’t let us go through that same suffering. We have big hopes from you.”
However, the poster also received praise from fans. One user wrote, “The life of a showgirl,” while another said, “Cannot wait to see you slay another character! We are so ready for it!”
“Goosebumps! This look is everything,” another fan commented.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Love & War’ stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film has officially completed its shoot, with Bhansali now expected to focus on post-production.
The film is expected to be one of Bhansali’s most expensive projects. It follows two army officers, played by Ranbir and Vicky, whose lives become entangled in a dramatic love triangle involving Alia’s character.
Several behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets have surfaced online since last year. One showed Ranbir and Vicky in Air Force uniforms, revealing their military roles in the film.
‘Love & War’ is scheduled to reach theatres on 21 January 2027. The project reunites Bhansali with Ranbir after ‘Saawariya’ (2007) and with Alia after ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
