MACES, a pioneering Bangladeshi study abroad education consultancy, will host its annual MACES International Education Meet 2026 in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet this October, bringing international universities closer to Bangladeshi students and their families.

Founded in 2007 by Tina Salem Manzoor and Rouham Manzoor, MACES grew from the vision of two education entrepreneurs who wanted to make study abroad opportunities more accessible and transparent for Bangladeshi students, reads a press release.

Having studied abroad themselves, the founders understood the importance of access to reliable information and proper guidance when making one of the most significant decisions in a student’s life.

That vision continues through the annual MACES International Education Meet. By bringing university international recruitment officers to Bangladesh, MACES gives students the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives, ask questions, compare options and make informed decisions about higher education abroad.

The multi-country study abroad education fair will feature universities and study opportunities from six popular destinations — the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and Malaysia.

The Education Meet will be held at The Westin Dhaka on Friday, 9 October; The Peninsula Chattogram on Saturday, 10 October; and Grand Palace Sylhet on Saturday, 17 October 2026. The event will run from 11am to 5pm in all three cities.

The event is open to students considering Foundation, Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes abroad, particularly those planning for 2027 and future intakes. Parents are also encouraged to attend.

At the Education Meet, students can meet university officers face-to-face and discuss courses, admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships and funding opportunities, student life and application procedures.

They can also receive a free eligibility assessment and personalised guidance from MACES counsellors based on their academic profile, budget and future goals.

With opportunities to explore and compare more than 100 universities, the Education Meet is designed to help students navigate the often-complex process of choosing the right country, university and programme.

Students who are still unsure about where or what they want to study can also receive guidance to create a personalised university shortlist before meeting relevant university representatives.

For nearly two decades, MACES has worked to make international education more accessible to Bangladeshi students. The organisation now represents more than 200 universities and education institutions across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and Malaysia.

Over the years, MACES has pioneered initiatives aimed at opening new international education pathways for Bangladeshi students.

It was among the early promoters of English-medium Japanese university programmes in Bangladesh, helping students discover opportunities to study in Japan, including scholarship opportunities.

MACES has also helped develop credit-transfer pathways between Bangladeshi and UK universities, allowing eligible students to complete part of their undergraduate studies in Bangladesh before transferring to the UK.

MACES provides support throughout the study abroad journey — from choosing a country, university and course to applications, scholarship guidance, visa application support and pre-departure preparation.

As an authorised representative of its partner universities, MACES does not charge students counselling or application service fees for applications to partner institutions.

Participation in the MACES International Education Meet 2026 is free. Students and parents are encouraged to register in advance.
