Asian Distributions Ltd has launched the premium plug-in hybrid SUV Omoda 9 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicl (PHEV) in Bangladesh at a price of Tk 69 lakh, marking its entry into the country’s high-performance hybrid vehicle segment, a press release said.
The unveiling ceremony was held recently at the Omoda & Jaecoo showroom in Dhaka. Asian Distributions Managing Director Dewan Shajedur Rahman said the company aims to introduce cleaner and smarter mobility solutions in Bangladesh.
“The Omoda 9 PHEV represents our vision for the future of driving in Bangladesh. Powerful performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. We are bringing world-class innovation to our customers and taking a real step toward sustainable mobility,” he said.
The event was attended by Asian Distributions Director Dewan Saidur Rahman and Executive Director Shadiqul Mostuk.
The Omoda 9 PHEV features a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with all-wheel drive, delivering 440 kW power and 915 Nm torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a combined driving range of up to 1,200 km.
Its interior includes Nappa leather seats with heating and cooling, a SONY 14-speaker surround sound system and a 12.3-inch liquid HD display. It also offers a panoramic sliding roof and safety features including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and blind spot detection.
The SUV comes with an eight-year or 1,60,000 km warranty and a buy-back facility, subject to terms and conditions, the press release added.
