The Zonta Club of Dhaka IV hosted a vibrant “Meet and Greets” event, bringing together club members and Z and Youth Club members under the theme “Zonta Says YES to Gender Equality.”

The event began with a welcome speech by Sania B Mahtab, who outlined the core pillars of the theme and emphasised the critical role of young people in driving social reform, reads a press release.

Mahtab said advocating for gender equality is not only a social imperative but also a foundation for women’s economic empowerment. She highlighted the need to dismantle systemic barriers, protect women from violence and ensure equal access to education and resources to enable women to achieve financial independence.

She said economically empowered women contribute to sustainable community development and broader national growth.

Continuing Z and Youth Club President Rania Mustansir shared her strategic vision and future project plans aimed at empowering young advocates during the new biennium.

The gathering was also attended by prominent Zontians, including Past District Governor Ztn Naheed Moyeen, Immediate Past President Ztn Naheed Shaheen, Past Presidents Ztn Mahfuza Rashid and Ztn Haseen Firdaus, and Ztn Najmi Moyeen.

They expressed their collective support for the next generation of changemakers.
