After her successful concert tours in Canada and Saudi Arabia, Bangladeshi pop star Mila is now set to travel to South Korea with her band.
The singer will perform at the Changwon International MAMF Festival on October 26. The event will also be broadcast nationwide on South Korean television.
Joining her on stage will be her long-time band members Enayet (bass), Malcolm (lead guitar), Kakon (keyboard) and Naeem (drums).
Speaking to the media, Mila said that she hopes to captivate both expatriate Bangladeshis and local Korean audiences with her energetic live performance.
After years away from the spotlight, Mila made a remarkable comeback with her playback performance in the film ‘Insaaf’. Her track ‘Akashete Lokhho Tara 2.0’ has since become a fan favourite, re-establishing her as a powerful voice in the country’s pop scene.
This year also marks a milestone for the artist: 20 years in the music industry. Reflecting on her journey, Mila said, “People say it’s been a long road but I don’t see it that way. There’s still so much I want to give; more songs, more stages, more audiences waiting out there.”
Looking back with gratitude and passion, she added, “Sometimes when I sit quietly, I can’t believe it’s really been two decades. It feels like I just started yesterday. The smiles of my listeners, their excitement, the way they call my name from the crowd; that’s what keeps me alive and inspires me to keep singing.”
