Jubo Dal leader assassinated in cold blood in Mirpur

Miscreants have shot and killed the member secretary of the Pallabi Thana Jubo Dal, Golam Kibria.

The incident occurred on Monday night at 6:40pm in Mirpur-12’s Block-C in the capital.

CCTV footage shows three individuals wearing motorbike helmets enter a sanitary store, press their weapons against the Jubo Dal leader’s body and shoot several times before fleeing on foot.

Jubo Dal President Monaem Munna confirmed the matter. Although Golam Kibria was quickly taken to Suhrawardy Hospital, the duty doctor declared him dead after examination.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station, Shafiul Alam, confirmed the matter. DMP’s Deputy Commissioner of Mirpur Division, Mohammad Makshudur Rahman, said one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

He is currently being interrogated, with efforts underway to identify the killers by analysing CCTV footage.
