Four top police officers have been transferred and reassigned to new postings.
The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the order in a notification issued on Sunday.
The officers are Bagerhat Superintendent of Police (SP) Hasan Mohammad Nazer Rikabdar, Chuadanga SP Mohammad Ruhul Kabir Khan, Police Headquarters SP Md Zakirul Islam, and Dhaka Special Branch (SB) SP Mehedi Shahriar.
According to the notification, Nazer Rikabdar and Ruhul Kabir have been appointed as deputy commissioners of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Zakirul has been posted as SP in Bagerhat, while Mehedi has been posted as SP in Chuadanga.
The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect.
