The written admission test process for first-year undergraduate Honours programmes at Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the 2025–26 academic session has concluded with the completion of the ‘A’ Unit examinations.
The ‘A’ Unit admission test, covering the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), was held earlier today.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan visited several examination centres, including the Physics and Chemistry buildings, to monitor the examination process.
After the inspection, the vice-chancellor thanked teachers, students, officers, employees and all those involved for ensuring the smooth and disciplined conduct of the admission tests. He said the combined efforts of all stakeholders had successfully completed a large-scale academic process, which helped strengthen the university’s image.
Under the ‘A’ Unit, the university has allocated 213 seats for male students and 213 seats for female students. Against these seats, 38,012 male and 22,340 female candidates applied.
Meanwhile, results of several other units have already been published on the university’s admission website. These include the Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU), ‘C’ Unit under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Law and the Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture, ‘B’ Unit under the Faculty of Social Sciences, ‘E’ Unit under the Faculty of Business Studies, ‘D’ Unit under the Faculty of Biological Sciences and ‘C-1’ Unit for the Department of Drama and Dramatics and the Department of Fine Arts.
The university has also announced oral examination schedules for the relevant units.
