A German company has expressed interest in providing airport calibration services in Bangladesh, signalling potential foreign collaboration in the country’s aviation sector.
The company expressed its interest during a courtesy meeting between Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam and German Ambassador to Bangladesh Rudiger Lotz at the Secretariat on Sunday. State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present.
During the meeting, the ambassador mentioned that German firm Aerodata is keen to offer airport calibration services in Bangladesh.
Such services are critical for ensuring the accuracy and safety of navigation and landing systems at airports.
The discussion also focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Germany, with particular emphasis on cooperation in the aviation sector.
In response, the minister and state minister expressed optimism about working closely with the German government to modernise and develop Bangladesh’s aviation infrastructure.
The ambassador assured continued cooperation from Germany in supporting Bangladesh’s development efforts in the sector.
