The first look of Tanim Noor’s much-anticipated film ‘Bonolota Express’ has been revealed, generating excitement among fans ahead of its Eid-ul-Fitr release. The movie, adapted from Humayun Ahmed’s beloved story ‘Kichukhon’, follows the lives of multiple characters during a train journey across Bangladesh.

The teaser was shared on Wednesday (March 4) evening via social media, including the YouTube channels of Hoichoi Bangladesh and Buriganga Talkies.

Set against a nostalgic railway station backdrop, the visuals introduce a diverse cast, including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Intekhaba Dinar, Shyamal Mawla, Sabila Nur and Sariful Razz, alongside several newcomers.

In the first glimpse, Sabila Nur portrays a typical Bengali woman, while Chanchal Chowdhury appears as a minister, with Azmeri Haque Badhan as his wife. Sariful Razz plays a doctor and Mosharraf Karim’s character is shown in a new, intriguing light. A familiar line, from the popular series ‘Mohanagar’, “Duita kotha mone rakhbe” is cleverly incorporated, adding humour and a touch of surprise.

Director Tanim Noor emphasised that the film seeks to capture the emotional depth, silent struggles and humanity often found in Humayun Ahmed’s stories, transforming them into a cinematic journey that spans the country via the train experience.

Bonolota Express is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide during Eid, with international screenings scheduled from April 3.
