Veteran theatre actor Ferdousi Majumder is set to speak directly with audiences and theatre enthusiasts about her stage career, artistic journey and personal experiences.
Theatre group Onuswar is organising the event titled ‘Fire Dekha: Onuswar Sanglap-4’, where the acclaimed actress will share memories and insights from her long career.
The programme will take place tomorrow, Saturday (25 July), at 5pm at the Studio Theatre Hall of the National Theatre Hall. The event will remain open to all.
Considered one of the pioneers of Bangladesh’s theatre movement, Ferdousi Majumder has built a remarkable career spanning more than six decades across stage, television and film.
Her contribution to the country’s theatre practice, cultural development and performing arts has earned widespread recognition. She has received several national and international honours, including the Independence Award, Ekushey Padak and Bangla Academy Literary Award, for her outstanding contributions to acting.
Onuswar launched the ‘Onuswar Sanglap’ series in 2022 to mark its third anniversary. Theatre personality Syed Jamil Ahmed was the guest at the first edition. Since then, the organisation has continued the programme by featuring prominent figures from the country’s theatre community.
The organisers expect this edition, featuring Ferdousi Majumder, to become an inspiring and memorable gathering for theatre lovers and young artists.
