Rohit Shetty is bringing the Golmaal gang back to the big screen with the franchise’s fifth instalment, nearly a decade after the previous film.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, Golmaal 5 will release in theatres on 8 January 2027.
Shetty announced the release date on social media on Saturday, along with a teaser promising more comedy and chaos.
Ajay Devgn will return as Gopal, alongside Warsi as Madhav, Tusshar as Lucky, Kunal as Laxman and Shreyas Talpade in his familiar role. Sharman Joshi is also returning after appearing in the original Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006.
Akshay Kumar will make his debut in the franchise, although details of his character remain under wraps. Reports have suggested he could play the antagonist.
Filming began in Ooty in April, while reports in August indicated that the dialogue portions had been completed.
The original Golmaal: Fun Unlimited was released in 2006, and the franchise will mark its 20th anniversary around the release of the fifth film.
Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and T-Series, Golmaal 5 is scheduled to hit cinemas on 8 January 2027.
