Bangladeshi film ‘Domm’ is set for a major expansion in North America after a strong audience response in its opening week, with screenings increasing significantly across the United States and Canada from April 17.
The Redwan Rony-directed film, starring Afran Nisho, Chanchal Chowdhury and Puja Cherry, initially released in the US on April 10 and will now be shown in 58 theatres in its second week. This includes an expansion from 7 to 50 cinemas in the US, alongside 8 locations in Canada.
North American distributor Bioscope Films said the wider release reflects growing audience interest. Chairman and CEO Raj Hamid said the expansion has been driven entirely by demand, noting the strong reception from viewers.
Produced by SVF Alpha-I and Chorki, Domm carries the tagline “Until the Last Breath”. The film’s screenplay has been written by Redwan Rony along with Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al Amin Hasan Nirjhar, Md Saifullah Riyader and Rabiul Alam Robi.
