Dolly Parton has made a generational and transformational contribution to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, which has now been renamed the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.
Hospital CEO Matt Schaefer praised the donation, describing it as a lifeline that will benefit both patients and medical staff for years to come. The exact sum has not been disclosed.
Parton has also shared updates on her personal life. Earlier this year, she addressed rumours about her health, revealing she had faced several challenges that forced her to cancel her Las Vegas residency.
She attributed this to the grief of losing her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025 after 58 years of marriage.
Despite these challenges, Parton has returned to work, releasing the tribute single ‘If You Hadn’t Been There’ in Dean’s honour and sharing a new version of her 1977 hit ‘Light of a Clear Blue Morning’ featuring Queen Latifah, Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson and her goddaughter Miley Cyrus.
