Md Babul Mia has joined Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) as chairman, taking charge on 1 October after serving as an additional secretary at the Ministry of Planning.
Mia, an additional secretary to the government, joined the 15th Bangladesh Civil Service administration cadre on 15 November 1995, BCIC said in a press release.
During his career in field administration, he served in different districts as an assistant commissioner and magistrate, assistant commissioner (land), upazila nirbahi officer and additional deputy commissioner.
Mia also held key positions in the central administration at several ministries, including the Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and Ministry of Planning.
Before joining BCIC, he was serving as an additional secretary at the Ministry of Planning.
