Angelina Jolie has drawn attention to the devastation in Gaza by sharing before-and-after satellite images that show the scale of destruction across the territory, reports Gulf News.

In an Instagram post, the actor and former UN refugee agency special envoy said the images available through Google Earth reveal how entire neighbourhoods have been transformed by the war. “You can now open Google Earth and see what was done to Gaza,” she wrote.

Jolie cited UN satellite analysis showing that 82 per cent of structures in Gaza had been damaged as of 16 June 2026, with around two-thirds assessed as destroyed.

She said 1.98 million people need shelter assistance and essential items as winter approaches, while aid and medical supplies continue to face restrictions and delays.

Jolie urged sustained humanitarian access, saying civilians need shelter, hospitals require medical supplies and communities must be given the means to rebuild.
