Global glass and surface cleaner Colin has officially entered the Bangladeshi market following the transition of the long-running household brand Mr Brasso, signalling a shift towards a more contemporary and premium identity.
As part of the relaunch, actress and model Sabila Nur has been unveiled as Colin’s brand ambassador. The move is seen as an effort to connect the internationally recognised product with a younger, style-conscious audience through a familiar local face.
Mr Brasso has been a staple in Bangladeshi homes for decades. The rebranding to Colin reflects a broader strategy to align with global branding, updated formulations and modern communication, while retaining trust built over generations of consumers.
Colin is marketed internationally as a high-performance cleaner known for delivering a clear, streak-free shine across glass and multiple surfaces. In Bangladesh, the brand is positioning itself around ease of use and visible results, aiming to elevate everyday cleaning routines.
Sabila Nur, who has gained prominence through film, television and music videos, said she was pleased to be associated with a brand that links cleanliness with a positive living environment. She described Colin as a product that delivers noticeable results with minimal effort.
Reckitt’s Senior Brand Manager Nurul Samnan Rafid said the transition represents more than a cosmetic change. He noted that the introduction of Colin, alongside a refreshed formula and a new brand ambassador, is intended to redefine expectations in the shine and surface care category in the coming year.
