‘Bonolota Express’, directed by Tanim Noor, continues to draw large audiences in cinemas following its Eid release.
The film has earned Tk3 crore in 11 days, grossing Tk3.07 crore across Star Cineplex (Tk2.46 crore), Lion Cinemas (Tk42.33 lakh), Blockbuster Cinemas (Tk12.29 lakh) and K-Screen Cineplex (Tk5.58 lakh).
The film is now running the highest number of shows in its second week, with 28 screenings across eight Star Cineplex branches and additional shows at other cinemas. Demand remains high, with many viewers unable to secure tickets.
Inspired by Humayun Ahmed’s novel ‘Kichukkhan’, the film explores the lives of the passengers boarded inside the train .
The ensemble cast includes Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Shariful Raj, Sabila Noor and Ajmeri Haque Badhon.
Director Tanim Noor said the audience response has been “unbelievable”, with groups of friends and families filling theatres to watch the film.
