Popular Bangladeshi film actress Bobby Haque has spoken out after a leaked audio clip featuring her and businessman-producer Mirza Abul Bashar went viral on social media, sparking widespread discussions. The controversy surfaced shortly after rumours emerged about Bobby’s breakup with producer-director Sakib Sonet.
In an interview on Friday, Bobby clarified that the leaked audio is “spliced together from older audio clips.” She said, “The conversations are from two to three years ago. Different parts from various times were cut and spliced together.
“There’s no logical connection between one statement and another. Someone intentionally circulated these clips on Facebook to create unnecessary drama.”
The audio begins with the actress reportedly raising her voice during a heated exchange. Based on the content, many speculated that Bobby and Mirza Abul Bashar once shared a romantic relationship.
However, Bobby dismissed the rumour, saying, “My relationship with this businessman and producer is completely normal now. There’s no romantic involvement. I’m currently focused only on my film projects.”
Bobby is presently working on a new movie titled Tochhnochh, directed by Badiul Alam Khokon. Meanwhile, Mirza Abul Bashar has produced a film titled Bou starring Bobby. He also had plans to produce another film, Mastermind, directed by Saikat Nasir. Although pre-production began long ago, the project has been on hold for an extended period.
Regarding the leak, Bobby expressed her frustration, saying, “We were shocked to hear about it ourselves. It seems like someone is deliberately trying to stir up trouble. I just want to focus on my work and family now.”
