Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas has named several of her favourite actors and actresses, including Shakib Khan, Riaz, Ferdous and Moushumi.
Asked who she considers the best actors and actresses in the country, Apu initially avoided choosing a single name.
“Everyone is the best in my eyes,” she said.
When asked to name her favourite actresses, Apu mentioned Moushumi, Purnima, Shabnur and Popy. When the presenter pointed out that she had already listed four names, Apu jokingly added herself to the group.
For male actors, she named Riaz, Ferdous, Amin Khan, Shakib Khan and Shakil Khan.
Apu clarified that the names reflected her personal preferences rather than an attempt to rank the country’s actors and actresses.
Apu has worked with many leading figures in Bangladeshi cinema throughout her career and has shared the screen with several of the stars she mentioned.
She is currently working on ‘Shikar’, directed by Kamruzzaman Roman. A significant portion of the film was shot in Nepal.
However, production of the film has faced uncertainty over its remaining work following the arrest of lead actor Mortuza Palash, who is currently in jail.
