Filmmaker Vicky Zahed is set to explore Bengali folklore through ‘Pran Bhromora’, a new romantic mythological thriller being produced as an iScreen Original Series.
The project was announced at a press conference at Channel i Studio Baranda, attended by Impress Telefilm Limited and Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar, Vicky Zahed, actor Tawsif Mahbub and actress Shreyasi Shreya.
‘Pran Bhromora’ draws on the traditional Bengali folklore of a mysterious bumblebee believed to contain the life of a supernatural being. The series will place the centuries-old myth in a contemporary setting, combining romance, relationships and psychological mystery.
Tawsif Mahbub and Shreyasi Shreya will lead the series, while Intekhab Dinar and other popular actors will appear in supporting roles.
The production is scheduled to begin filming in October. Following completion, the series will premiere on the iScreen OTT platform.
With its blend of folklore and contemporary storytelling, ‘Pran Bhromora’ will mark Vicky Zahed’s latest project in the thriller genre.
