The BNP Media Cell has issued a warning regarding the formation and promotion of fraudulent committees in various districts across the country.
Simultaneously, the media cell urged party activists and public to remain vigilant against various fake pages, groups, and communities operating on social media under this name.
This information was shared in a press release signed by BNP Media Cell Convener Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel on Monday morning.
According to the statement, it has recently come to attention of the media cell that fake committees are being announced and promoted in several districts.
The press release further clarified that, apart from BNP Media Cell central committee, no committees have been formed under this name at district or metropolitan levels across the country.
The media cell stated that it has no affiliation with any individuals or groups claiming to be part of an authorised Media Cell committee.
The release warned that charges of breaching party discipline would be brought against those responsible for providing such unauthorised and fraudulent committees.
The statement concluded by requesting general activists and journalists to remain cautious of such misleading information and lists.
