Mission Acharya of Jhenaidah has finally received his appointment letter as an assistant teacher in a primary school.
Earlier, despite being recommended for the post of teacher at a government primary school, his appointment letter was withheld on the grounds that he lacked homestead property and a local permanent address, plunging Mission Acharya and his family into severe uncertainty.
The administrative complications surrounding his appointment were ultimately resolved following media coverage and the intervention of the Prime Minister’s Political Assistant, Rashed Khan, and Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon.
On Monday afternoon, an official notice finalising Mission Acharya’s appointment was published on the website of the Jhenaidah District Primary Education Office.
Jhenaidah District Primary Education Officer Amjad Hossain stated that the appointment letter has been issued in Mission Acharya’s name and his appointment as a teacher has been finalized on the website of the Directorate of Primary Education.
He added that from today onwards, the designation of ‘teacher’ is attached to Mission Acharya’s name.
Notably, despite successfully passing the primary teacher recruitment examination, the Primary Education Department had initially refused to issue an appointment letter in Mission Acharya’s favour due to the absence of a local permanent address.
This created administrative complications. When the issue was reported in the media, it spread rapidly and generated widespread discussion across the country.
Expressing his gratitude upon receiving the appointment, Mission Acharya said, “I am deeply grateful to the Prime Minister, the Education Minister, and the Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Rashed Khan.
“I also express my gratitude to the journalist brothers from the media who stood by me. I will remember the experience through which my career as a teacher has begun, and I will make the maximum use of my talent in fulfilling the noble duty of building the country and nation, as I want to do something for society, the state, and the people.”
Commenting on the development, Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Rashed Khan said, “The Education Minister resolved the issue very quickly and with a humane perspective, and we are delighted that the appointment letter finally reached Mission Acharya.
“This incident proves that any administrative complexity can be resolved if the media plays an active role in favour of truth and justice alongside a positive attitude from the government. I hope teacher Mission Acharya will spread the light of education among thousands of children and adolescents with honesty and dedication.”
