The Department of Youth Development (DYD) has rescheduled the preliminary recruitment examination for Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer posts for 16 October, following its postponement over allegations of a question paper leak.
The examination will be held at 3pm on Friday, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
The release, signed by DM Atikur Rahman, director (Administration) of the department and convener of the recruitment committee, said candidates would be notified of the revised date and time through SMS.
The examination was originally scheduled for 11am on Saturday.
However, allegations that the question paper had been leaked circulated on various social media platforms before the test began, prompting the government to postpone it to ensure administrative transparency.
Meanwhile, a five-member high-level investigation committee has been formed to investigate the alleged leak.
The committee is headed by an additional secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and has been instructed to submit its report within the next three working days.
Disciplinary action will be taken against those found involved in the incident after the investigation report is received, the press release added.
